Egypt launched its second edition of its Defence Expo on Monday (November 29), a large-scale defence & security event allowing international companies to exhibit their latest technology in land, sea and air defence.
Held under the patronage of the Egyptian Armed Forces, the event was held at the International Exhibition Centre in New Cairo with more than 30,000 industry visitors.
The event hosted more than 400 exhibitors from 42 countries, including American, British, German, French, Pakistani, Russian and Canadian manufacturers.
Among the exhibitors are defence companies TRB of the Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Pakistan's state-owned Global Industrial & Defence Solutions (GIDS).
"Our company predominantly produces five main products, which is the Despot, the RS 9 Vampir pistol, fuzes, demining machine, and the line for the production of ammunition," said Rade Boskovic, a Business Development Manager at TRB.
"The Despot itself is a fantastic vehicle," Boskovic added, referring to his company's flagship product, a multi-purpose armoured vehicle used police and armed forces units.
The event was inaugurated by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and will run until December 2.
