Riyadh: A Yemeni man who killed Saudi sergeant Modhal Fahd Mohammed Al-Salouli in the Governorate Beesha last month confessed to belonging to the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq.
Omar Said Mahdi Bahismi, 20, waited for Salouli till he finished Fajr prayer and ran over him before stabbing him and slitting his throat in a front of the mosque at the district of Al-Aziziya.
The security inquiry revealed that the killer had joined the terrorist group and pledged allegiance to its leader, according to a report in Jazirah.
The police had arrested the killer and in addition to a big sum of money they seized the blood-stained knife and the car which were used to commit the crime.
The officers have also apprehended six other Yemenis in connection with the same crime and referred them to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution.
