Riyadh: The Saudi customs authorities foiled an attempt to smuggle 421,846 amphetamine pills through Dheba seaport.

The customs officers became suspicious of a truck aboard a ship and seized the haul of narcotics which were wrapped inside cork and hidden in various parts of the vehicle, reported local Arabic daily Al-Riyadh.

Dheba seaport Director General Ali Al-Atwi said that the truck was on its way to a neighbouring country.
