Paris: Uruguay striker Diego Rolan scored the winning goal as Bordeaux beat Nantes 1-0 in the French league on Sunday.
Former France winger Jeremy Menez, who joined Bordeaux from AC Milan this season, beat defender Diego Carlos and his cross found Rolan at the back post.
The 23-year-old Rolan, who netted 15 league goals for Bordeaux two seasons ago, managed only seven last term but has scored two in three games so far.
The win moved Bordeaux up to seventh place, one above Toulouse, which beat Bordeaux 4-1 last weekend but could only draw 0-0 away to Saint-Etienne on Sunday.
