VIVA has unveiled the winner of its ‘Bahrain’s first trickster’ competition who will join the talented football squad of boys and girls for its Manchester United Soccer Schools (MUSS) programme.
The new player, Mohammed A. Qayoom Mohamed, who currently plays with Riffa Club, was chosen through a competition the company launched recently under the name ‘Bahrain’s first trickster’, which encouraged football enthusiasts aged between 12 and 15 to share a video of themselves doing freestyle football tricks on VIVA’s Instagram @VIVA_BH. Mohammed stood out with his clever football skills, which caught the attention of the public.
The other 21 players –17 boys and four girls – are Jasim Hani Ebrahim, Yaseen Mohamed Husain, Hasan Taha Zaid, Muhanad Husain Al Sardeeh, Faris Khalo, Haidar Ali Husain, Hamad Mohamed Al Namlaiti, Sayed Jafar Ali, Mohammed Aqeel Salman, Ala Maher Assaf, Husain Ali Aleker, Blair Hopkins, Yassine Benmansour, Saleh Bader Bin Hayee, Abdulla Ali Fakhroo, Ali Mohamed Hasan, Mohamed Ebrahim Al Madani, Erica Moolman, Suha Vajihe Faiz, Danielle Welkinson and Bruna Elias Vinos.
The VIVA squad of 22 young footballers will travel to the UK days after Eid Al Fitr to experience a week-long training at Manchester United Soccer Schools (MUSS) Parrington grounds. The VIVA footballers will be trained based on Manchester United’s Academy programme which are delivered in a way that young players of all abilities can ‘Learn to Play the United Way.’
The training course will give each player a fascinating insight into how Manchester United prepare their youngsters enabling them to reach their optimum level of performance.
