ABDULLA Al Hakam narrowly won the sixth monthly Porsche Golf Cup Series tournament at the Royal Golf Club on count back with a gross score of 74.
Fellow Bahraini Hamad Mubarak took the runner-up spot with the same score. Yusuf Janahi clinched the nett section of the popular series with a score of 64 while Alex Hurter came a close second with 65.
All four players will be presented with Porsche goody bags at a prize giving evening on September 29.
Mohammed Al Sayed tops both the gross and nett sections of the series leaderboard after six rounds with scores of 394 and 374 respectively. Barry Hobday lies in second place in the gross section with a score of 408 while Kwang Seok Kim holds second place in the nett section with a score of 377.
Forty-two players took part in this month’s individual strokeplay tournament. The series consists of seven rounds and each player’s best six scores out of seven will represent their final score. All competitors will have the opportunity to win in either the gross or nett categories.
