Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services are investigating actor Brad Pitt amid reports he got 'verbally abusive and physical with his children' on a private jet, according to a report on TMZ.
People and TMZ both note that Jolie and at least some of the couple's other children were present at the time.
Pitt and Jolie have six children: Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8.
Both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are said to have been questioned as part of the probe, and there are plans for authorities to speak to the children.
A source close to Pitt said that "He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children," adding, "It's unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light."
Angelina Jolie filed for divorce on Sept. 19 2016 and requested sole physical custody of the couple's six children citing irreconcilable differences in ending their two-year marriage.
