Riyadh: The Saudi Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) has decided to stop selling unlimited internet cards to operators.
A source said the decision would first be restricted to prepaid cards and would not apply to postpaid bills or DSL fixed lines internet.
The source added that the regulatory measure aims to rationalize the use of internet so as to ease the pressure on the network and comply with the global rates.
However, 'Mobily' and 'Zain KSA' said on their Twitter account that the unlimited internet card service is still on.
