BAHRAIN Rugby Football Club will celebrate a Great British Weekend in honour of 200 years of British-Bahraini relations.
Taking place tomorrow until Friday, the event will feature competitions, children’s activities, entertainment and more.
Kicking off the event is a quiz night tomorrow from 7.30pm. Friday morning kicks off at 11am with a range of stalls in the main sports hall featuring a British, Bahraini theme.
Meanwhile, at 2pm a darts tournament will commence and a cricket match will be played on the pavilion.
Around 3pm, a 20 piece band from St Christopher’s School will deliver a breath-taking performance to Bahrain’s crowds.
Afternoon tea will be served in Mano’s Restaurant from 3pm to 5pm, but reservations should be made in advance.
British Ambassador Simon Martin will present a prize to the winner of the Lemon Drizzle Cake competition later in the day.
Only 10 places are available for this competition, therefore anyone who would like to enter must register at the Rugby Football Club Reception and submit their cake by 2pm on Friday.
Prizes will also be awarded for the best British-Bahrain style themed couple, best hat and best themed stall, so be sure to get creative.
A performance by local band the Tax Dodgers will conclude the weekend at 8pm.
