MANAMA: Batelco has announced a platinum partnership agreement with Sophos, a key IT security and data protection company, on the sidelines of Gitex 2016.
Batelco senior manager for cloud and ICT product marketing Hussain Mohammed and Sophos business head for Middle East Amar Mehta signed the agreement yesterday during a meeting at the Batelco Stand which is part of the Bahrain Pavilion.
“The signing with Sophos is in line with Batelco’s efforts to provide relevant security for Bahrain’s enterprise sector.
Better network security means better business and for peace of mind it is a smart move for businesses to extend their security across all areas of their operation to protect their network, data and all elements of their organisation,” said Batelco Bahrain chief executive Muna Al Hashemi.
Sophos vice-president for MEA Harish Chib said Batelco with its market knowledge and strong expertise in security solutions was the perfect choice as a key partner in Bahrain.
“Sophos employs a simple and effective Channel First sales strategy and its broad and powerful portfolio of IT security products will allow Batelco to deliver a complete security and a synchronised security solution to customers,” he added.
The Bahrain market continues to see an increasing demand for managed security solutions.
