Abu Dhabi: Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and UAE Armed Forces Deputy Supreme Commander Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, held a meeting at Al-Auja farm in Riyadh. The two leaders discussed fraternal relations and ways to strengthen them, in addition to latest regional and international developments.
They reviewed dedicated efforts to strengthen their strategic cooperation on overall issues affecting the security and stability of the region, focusing on ensuring their mutual and GCC interests and safeguarding Arab rights. Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed stressed the depth of fraternal ties between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, referring to the strength of co-operation and solidarity in confronting regional challenges. He underlined the shared vision between Abu Dhabi and Riyadh regarding security and stability, stressing the need to confront the dangers posed by the terrorism and extremism.
He commended King Salman for ensuring the best interests of the GCC and for backing Arab and Islamic issues. The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi underlined that Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, represents the main pillar in maintaining the security and stability of the region. "Saudi Arabia is a safety valve, given its continued efforts to defend the Arab interests and its commitment to the cohesion and unity," he added.
