Leading global experts in the field of sustainable project management will discuss the future needs of nation and cities including the education, health, transport infrastructure and water resources at an upcoming summit in Dubai, UAE.
The third edition of the Dubai International Project Management Forum is being held from October 22 to 25 under the sponsorship of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
The event will seek to link its focus with the UAE Strategy for Shaping the Future, to assure that the Forum is consistent with the UAE’s vision, said the organisers.
Laila Faridoon, the executive director of the Office of the director-general and chairman of the board of executive directors of the RTA, said: "The slogan of the forum - Shaping the Future - is consistent with UAE’s strategy for the future, which reiterates our commitment to support the future objectives of the UAE."
This year's theme "Future Cities", also echoes the UAE's strategy in other sectors, such as education, health, transport infrastructure and water resources, as well as water and food security, she stated.
"Such a strategy is repeated in developing strategic plans for shaping the future of these sectors, identifying the anticipated transitional, challenges, and developing the skills required to tackle such challenges," noted Faridoon.
The sustainable project management and public-private partnership themes also is part of the UAE's strategy in other sectors, such as energy, minerals, water resources, sustainability, the environment and climate change.
These are reflected in charting out strategies for the anticipated challenges and overcoming them in order to make these partnerships a success and ensure the sustainability of their projects.-TradeArabia News Service
