Abu Dhabi: An inquiry was launched into an alleged mid-semester exam leak at public and private schools.
The Education Minister set up a fact-finding team to conduct a thorough investigation and identify the lawbreakers.
Government and private school students reportedly set up a group on the messaging application, Telegram and circulated the examination questions along with the answers.
The exchanges showed that the students involved in the leak began circulating the questions and answers at 8:58 am, an hour before the 45-minute exam was to take place.
In order to prevent such incidents, the ministry has henceforth decided to send the exam papers to different schools at 8 am, instead of at 6 am.
The mid-semester exams taken by students from grades 4 to 12, started last Sunday and will go on till October 30.
