Riyadh: Saudi Customs has thwarted three attempts to smuggle 3078 amphetamine pills and 33 bottles of liquor through the Al-Dorra entry checkpoint.
In a statement to Saudi News Agency, Al-Dorra Customs director-general Mohammed Al-Ayyoush said that 2,086 narcotics pills had been found hidden in the engine, dashboard and other parts of a car.
The customs officers frisked the driver and found 992 amphetamine pills hidden in his underwear.
Officers also found 33 bottles of liquor concealed in a driver’s car.
