Kuwait: The number of expatriates living in Kuwait has increased by 100,000 over the first six months making the total figure 2,670,000.
The Indian community remains the largest with 901,000, followed by 587,000 Egyptians, 243,000 Filipinos and 202,000 Bangladeshis.
According to latest statistics released by the General Directorate for Residence Affairs, 145,000 Syrians, 60,000 Nepalese and 39,000 Iranians live in Kuwait.
A total of 1.350 million have work permits, 108,000 are employed by the government in addition to 605,000 domestic workers, including their families.
