Kuwait: Former Kuwaiti MP Abdulhamid Dashti lost an appeal to run in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The Court of Appeals overruled a verdict issued by the court of first instance, allowing him to run in the elections through another person who will represent him.
The former MP who is abroad has been sentenced to prison for many years, in absentia, for defaming Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
He reacted to the verdict by announcing on his Twitter account that he would take his case to the Court of Cassation.
