Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman today marks the 46th anniversary of its National Day.
The anniversary is a reminder of the impressive cultural achievements accomplished and the strides achieved under the leadership of Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
Forty-six years ago and while delivering his first historic speech in 1970, Sultan Qaboos bin Said promised to build a contemporary state.
He fulfilled the promise and worked to achieve the aspirations of the future. Over the past years, Oman has made many and continuous achievements that included all walks of life.
One of the main features of the Omani modern Renaissance march is the national unity which serves as the main pillar for the efforts of sustainable development in all fields.
His Majesty has also been very keen on giving priority to justice and citizenship values, as well as equality, the rule of law and supporting the pillars of an institutional state when the citizen and expatriate enjoy safety and security.
