BAHRAIN Triathlon team’s Mousa Al Qursh won first place at the Arabian and West Asian level while his teammate Mohammed Al Ghais was second at the Arabian level and fifth at the West Asian level in the duathlon event of the Arab and West Asian Championships in Jordan.
Compatriot Ma’ali Tawer finished third at the Arabian level and sixth at the west Asian level while compatriot Nawaf Al Dhaen was fourth at the Arabian level and seventh at the West Asian level.
In triathlon, Sameera Al Baitar was first at the Arabian level and second at the West Asian level. In the men’s contest, Bahrain’s Abdullah Atteya finished 11th and Hamad Al Mansouri 14th.
There was also a race for the amateurs in the men’s category with Bahrainis Khalid bu Alaay and Ahmed Al Mahmeed winning third and fourth places respectively at the Arabian level.
President of Bahrain Triathlon Association (BTA) Shaikh Saqer bin Salman Al Khalifa extended his heartfelt congratulations to Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, chairman of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and president of Bahrain Olympic Committee, on the latest achievements of the duathlon and triathlon teams.
