CHINESE culture will be celebrated next week with performances by Anhui Acrobatic Troupe of China (AATC).
The event, organised by Dragon City in collaboration with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and the Chinese Embassy, will feature two performances.
Chinese acrobatics has been a traditional Chinese performing art for much of its history.
Over many decades, these solicited performances have developed creatively to bring a modern charm and unique take to the traditional art of Chinese acrobatic circus.
AATC was set up in 1956 and has since amassed high international acclaim for their skill and talent.
The troupe has performed all around the world in places such as Germany, Switzerland, the US and Japan and has become one of China’s best known acrobatic troupes internationally.
With a repertoire that includes balancing and juggling acts as well as gymnastics, the 12 skilled acrobats will steal the breath of the audience with their agility, strength and grace.
Everyone is welcome to see this extraordinary performance for free in the centre court of Dragon City in Diyar Al Muharraq on Friday at 7pm.
Guests will also find a handicraft gallery where unique Chinese handicrafts will be on display.
A second performance will take place at the Cultural Hall on Saturday at 8pm.
