TWO welterweight bouts will dominate the main event and the ‘co-main’ event at Brave 2: Dynasty on December 2 following the postponement of the world title fight due to injuries.
As a result, the battle between Gadzhimusa Gaziev and Carl Booth becomes the main event.
This paves the way for the Dagestani or the British man to steal the limelight and make their presence known throughout the MMA world.
Both are riding winning streaks and are confident in their ability to knock their opponents unconscious, so someone is likely to ‘sleep’ in this one.
The ‘co-main’ event will be another mouth-watering welterweight contest between undefeated Ottman Azaitar and SBG Ireland’s Kevin Koldobsky.
Azaitar has finished off all his opponents and looks unstoppable but is yet to face a real test and “El General” from Argentina, fighting out of SBG Ireland, will give him that test.
This fight will determine whether the Turkish/German beast can follow in his brother Abu’s footsteps and continue his dominant run.
It has been seen that he can take punishment and survive heavy pressure, but Koldobsky will pose a whole new level of threat to his previous opponents.
Perhaps the winners of these two welterweight fights will cross paths in the near future and could be in contention for the welterweight title when, indeed, the Brave team decides to make a title fight for this belt.
Before the main event and ‘co-main’ event, there are a host of tantalising bouts on the undercard featuring some of the world’s best mixed martial artists.
UFC veteran Walel Watson’s fight with the fast-rising Elias Boudegzdame catches the eye as well as the undefeated Brazilian Alex “Leko” Da Silva’s, 17-0, clash with AKA’s Daniel Swain.
Brave takes place at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town and tickets are on sale at www.bravefights.com, Virgin Megastore and at all SADAD kiosks throughout Bahrain.
