Riyadh: Three people from Jeddah and Mecca drowned as a result of the torrential rain which lashed Saudi Arabia over the past few days.
Civil Defence units helped rescue 335 people from drowning in Riyadh, Mecca, Al-Baha, Jazan, Tabuk and Asir and other parts of Saudi Arabia.
Riyadh topped the provinces with 510 calls for help, following by Tabuk with 386 calls, 24 from Mecca and 38 from Asir.
Civil defence units also evacuated 119 families and provided them with accommodation and pulled out 330 vehicles.
The Interior Ministry urged all people to vigilant, especially in the regions which are hardest hit and avoid exposing themselves to danger.
