Looking back at life...

After watching Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life in one afternoon last weekend, I couldn’t wait to pick up Lauren Graham’s new book Talking as Fast as I Can.

Avid Gilmore Girls fans will understand the urgency of watching the show and of course reading Ms Graham’s book. 

At a little over 200 pages, it is a very fast read but a great one and the title completely represents the character she is best known for Lorelai Gilmore. 

Talking as Fast as I Can recounts Ms Graham’s childhood, the beginning of her career and landing the Gilmore Girls part. 

While it is not an in-depth self-portrait in terms of the writing, the pictures throughout give a view into Ms Graham’s life that her writing perhaps lacks. 

Personally, I prefer Ms Graham on-screen rather than as an author, but I have no doubt that other Gilmore Girls fans will be keen to read it regardless.
