A number of flights have been delayed at Dubai International Airport as thick fog blanketed the emirate on Monday, obstructing vision and disrupting operations, said senior aviation officials.
Flights into and out of Dubai were affected with some getting held up for nearly an hour, they stated.
According to Dubai Airports, it was working with airlines, air traffic control and control authorities to minimise customer inconvenience.
Arriving flights from Saudi Arabia, China, Nepal, Bahrain and Qatar were experiencing delays. Departing flights bound for Doha, Mauritius and Durban were likewise moved to about an hour to three hours later, Dubai Airports said in its tweet.
