A ROMANTIC drama film set in Hong Kong, 2046, comes to the screen at Bahrain Cinema Club tonight at 7pm.
It is a loose sequel to the 1991 film Days of Being Wild and the 2000 film In the Mood for Love.
The story follows Zhou Mo Wan, the main character, who writes a novel about a mysterious train that leaves for a place called 2046 every once in a while.
Everyone who boards the train has the same intention – to recapture their lost memories. It is said that in 2046, nothing ever changed.
Nobody knows for sure if it was true, because nobody who went there had ever returned – except for one.
He had been there but he chose to leave, he wanted to change.
Directed by Kar-Wai Wong, 2046 was nominated for the Golden Palm at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival.
