BAHRAIN Football Association (BFA) has reached an agreement with the Bahrain Military Sports Federation (BMSF) on having national team coach Miroslav Soukup take charge of the Bahrain miltary team during their participation in the World Military Football Cup taking place next month.
The tournament, which is organised by the Council of International Sports for Militaries (CISM), will be held in Oman from January 15 with Bahrain competing along with 15 other nations for the title.
Bahrain has been potted alongside hosts Oman, France and Guinea in Group ‘A’.
BFA Vice-President Ali Al Buanain announced the decision between the two parties as the BFA, under the instructions of their President Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, attempts to support different football sides in the kingdom.
Al Buanain explained that the decision was made because of the number of national team players involved with the Bahrain military team.
Al Buanain stated that it was perfect opportunity for the BFA, the coaching staff and even the players to gain the best positive experiences especially because the team will play against those possessing different styles.
He also added that both the BFA and the BMSF were in continuous communication, especially regarding the search for a suitable training field for the team ahead of their camp scheduled for the beginning of next month.
