Doha: The number of visitors who flocked to Doha over the past eleven months exceeded two million, reported Al Raya.
An updated report on economic indicators says that 2.6 million tourists visited the Qatari capital since last January from the GCC countries, the region and other countries in the world.
The number of visitors from neighboring Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states exceeded 1 million tourists, contributing a major chunk of the overall number of visitors.
Saudi Arabia proved to be the main market as the number of tourists who visited Qatar till last month soared by seven per cent.
Meanwhile, 32 cruise liners are expected to dock at Doha Seaport till April, with over 50,000 tourists aboard. The largest private residential ship on the planet, The World, has already visited Qatar and spent a two–day stopover.
