Doha: German giants Bayern Munich today arrived in Doha for a winter training camp to warm up for the second part of the season. The side will resume its season on January 20 with a league game against Freiburg.
The camp lasts until January 11 and gives manager Carlo Ancelotti a chance to work with his players who were late in joining the team in the summer due to their Euro 2016 commitment. Jerome Boateng will not travel with the squad after undergoing a chest surgery while Kingsley Coman continues to recover from knee and ankle injuries.
Bayern are top of the Bundesliga, three points ahead of RB Leipzig, in their quest for a fifth consecutive league title. The Bavarians will take on Wolfsburg in the last 16 of the German cup on February 7 before facing Arsenal in the knockout stage of the Champions League.
