A Kuwaiti national who was killed in the Egypt Air plane crash almost nine months ago will be buried in Kuwait today.
Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Suhail Al-Mutairi was among 56 other passengers who were killed when EgyptAir Flight 804 crashed into the Mediterranean Sea on 19 May 2016.
Seven crew members and 3 security personnel were also killed in the plane crash.
The international passenger flight which took off from Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport was scheduled to land at Cairo International Airport.
The body which was repatriated from Egypt will be laid to rest at the Suleibkhat cemetery after the Asr prayer.
Members of the bereaved family had to travel to Egypt to undergo a DNA test to ensure the identity of the deceased Dr. Al-Mutairi.
The body was then repatriated from Kuwait and transferred to the Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence to clear all legal procedures for the funeral.
