Kuwaiti authorities uncovered a counterfeit operation that could have lead to the presence of a large quantity of fake car oil filters in the market.
Inspectors from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry raided a warehouse in Amghara district and seized 32,000 fake filters which were hidden inside oil barrels.
The counterfeit products, bearing fake logos of international brands, were confiscated pending legal investigation.
Assistant Undersecretary for Commercial Monitor and Consumer Protection Eid Al-Rashidi warned against selling such products which could result in damage of life and property.
