FAVOURITES won five of the seven feature races at yesterday’s horse racing in Sakhir, including two of the richest races of the day.
Celtic Man, owned by Ramadhan Stable, trained by Jaber Ramadhan and ridden by Brett Doyle, won the Lexus Silver Cup for imported horses, which carried a cash prize of BD2,500, beating Autumns Blush by a length.
Pity Cash was third and Grey Z fourth.
Stevie G, owned by Reem Ali Sameer, trained by Mahmood Jawad and ridden by Ali Samir, pipped Caped Crusader by a nose to win the Lexus Cup for locally bred horses which also carried a cash prize of BD2,500.

Rayaash was third and Ghafiya fourth.
La Faisan Blanche, owned by Ali Ahmed Al Anzoor, trained by Abdulla Kuwaiti and ridden by Alberto Sanna, was another favourite to oblige when it beat Dream Approval by three-fourth-length to win the Lexus Cup for imported horses which carried a cash prize of BD2,000.
Who’s That Chick was third and Fei Kuai fourth.
George The First, owned by Habib Hassan Al Khayal, trained by Osama Hashim and ridden by Andrew Elliott, beat Equivalent by half-a-length to win the Lexus Cup which carried a cash prize of BD2,000.
Shura Council was third and Sir Mike fourth.
Al Jellaby 1544, owned by Hamad Al Merisi, trained by Yousif Taher and ridden by Andrew Elliott, edged out Al Hamdanieh 1644 by a neck to win the Late Futees Al Hajeri Cup for Arabian horses which carried a cash prize of BD1,500.
Musannan 1552 was third.
The day, however, started badly for favourites as outsiders won the first two races of the day.
Nardeen, owned by Feras Sami Hashem Al Meshqab, trained by Osama Hashim and ridden by Andrew Elliott, created an upset in the first race of the day when it beat Hobb Nobb by three lengths to win the Lexus Cup which carried a cash prize for BD1,500.
Grace Kelly was third and Socialite fourth.
Good News, owned by H and R Stables, trained by Alan Smith and ridden by Jimmy Quinn, followed suit by beating Blue Fern by a nose to win the Lexus Cup for locally bred horses which carried a cash prize of BD1,500.
Namuthej was third and Call A Friend fourth.
