THE long-awaited clash between arch rivals Lucas “Mineiro” Martins and Paulo “Bananada” Gonçalves will be the headline fight at Brave Combat Federation’s Brave 3 - Battle in Brazil to be held in Curitiba, Bazil, on March 18.
Martins and Gonçalves were supposed to fight three times in the past, but for different reasons the bout never came to be. Now they will face each other on the global stage of Brave Combat Federation, the MMA promotion unit founded under the patronage of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Martins, who had already been announced for Brave as one of the stars of the Brazilian fight card, has a professional record of 18 wins and only three losses.
Fighting out of São Paulo, Brazil, from the Chute Boxe - Diego Lima team, Lucas is currently in a three-win streak.
Gonçalves is a long-time veteran with 33 professional fights, among which the Rio Dde Janeiro-based fighter has won 22.
Training at the famous X-Gym alongside none other than Anderson Silva, considered by many as the greatest Mixed Martial Artist of all time, Goncalves won his last fight in January against Nilson Pereira.
After two very successful events in Bahrain in 2016, Brave 3 will be the first international instalment of Brave Combat Federation.
