A Qatari passenger airplane termed the 'world's longest flight', landed in Auckland Airport, New Zealand today, crossing 10 time zones on its journey.
Qatar Airways flight QR 920 took off from Hamad International Airport in Doha, embarking on the longest trip in the world.
It hit the airport tarmac in Auckland, crossing 14,535 kilometres in 16 hours and 23 minutes and was treated to the traditional water cannon warm welcome at Auckland.
The crew included 4 pilots, in addition to 15 other members who served 1100 cups of tea or coffee, 2000 drinks and 1036 meals.
