If everything goes accordingly, Apple is set to launch a brand new iPhone or two in September, and we’ve already seen leaks teasing what might be released. The most recent photos to appear on the Web seem to show an iPhone 6S display rolling off the production line, though they don’t tell us much about the internal specs.

The new pictures come straight from a Weibo account, GeekBar, but they’re difficult to verify. If they’re not the iPhone 6S pictures, then they’re just very good fakes. There are small, but subtle, changes from the iPhone 6 design, which doesn’t come as a surprise, and there doesn’t seem to be a massive departure from the phones that Apple released in September last year.
Other rumours floating around suggest that Apple’s Chinese supplier are increasing production of Force Touch-enabled displays. The technology made its debut in the Apple Watch and can react to different levels of pressure, which opens up more interface options for app designers. The technology was bound to come to the iPhones eventually, considering it was already added to the latest MacBooks.
Considering it’s an “S” phone, we’re not expecting huge changes to the iPhone line-up this year. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus got a revamped design, so it seems highly unlikely that Apple would ditch the design after just 12 months. However, the internal specs should get a significant upgrade, and rumours suggest that Apple is planning big bumps in camera capabilities and screen resolution.
With one more month left to go, no doubt there will be a few more leaks and predictions to float around until the devices are unveiled.
