TAMKEEN has signed an agreement with Bahrain Football Association (BFA) to support the training and employment of Bahrainis in the sports sector.
Under the agreement, Tamkeen will support training for a number of Bahrainis and will provide them with professional certificates in various fields such as coaching, physical therapy and accounting to equip them with the necessary skills to work in various sports clubs.
On the occasion, Tamkeen Chief Executive Dr Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, stressed the importance of supporting the sports sector as it offers job opportunities for Bahraini citizens in institutions and sports clubs.
“We are delighted with this partnership with the BFA, and are continuously working towards partnering with different associations that contribute to the private sector in the kingdom,” Dr Janahi said.
BFA President Shaikh Ali Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa expressed his pleasure over this partnership.
“We at BFA seek to establish the right environment for skillful athletes and nurture them through our continuous support and help them to achieve professionalism aiming to position Bahrain in the international sports map.”
Tamkeen has supported the training and rehabilitation of many Bahrainis to obtain professional certificates in over 10 different sports disciplines, including sports management, training, arbitration, scuba diving and others.
