Thieves stole the shoes of the Egyptian Minister of Endowments Dr. Mohammed Mokhtar Juma’a as he was attending the Friday prayer in the Governorate of Al-Sharkiya in Northern Egypt.
The minister had just opened the grand mosque in the village of Salamant and delivered the first Friday sermon.
As he was leaving the mosque he realized that his shoes had been stolen, reported albedaiah.com newspaper.
The thieves had also stolen the shoes of the official delegation members who included ministry officials, journalists, MPs and other representatives of the governorate.
Some villagers volunteered to provide shoes for the ministers and his companions.
