Dutch illusionists to cast a spell...

Stephanie Sutcliffe

THREE talented Dutch illusionists will take to the stage in Bahrain this week.

Organised by Motiv8 Events and Media, Magic Unlimited will perform at the Cultural Hall from tomorrow until Saturday.

The 90-minute family-oriented performance will see Oscar, Renzo and Mara showcase impressive acts of escapology, levitation, transportation and more.

Brothers Oscar and Renzo developed the show having grown up in the industry.

Their father Hans Kazàn is a famous magician in the Netherlands and thanks to his inspiration the brothers have become stars themselves, along with their younger brother Stephen who joined a little later.

Since their careers began at the prestigious Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Magic Unlimited have accumulated more than 20 years of stage experience.

This is the trio’s first trip to the region and the group is excited, Oscar Kazàn told the GDN in an exclusive interview.

“To be honest it’s a whole new adventure for us to be in this part of the world – that’s what makes it very exciting to be here,” he said.

“We have been travelling through Europe, Asia, China and the US but we have never been to this region of the world.

“It’s our first time to be in Bahrain and we are all very excited.”

Nowadays, they perform all over the world, amazing audiences with their high-impact illusion show.

“It’s a happy magic show, with big spectacles, people appearing and disappearing and there is a lot of humour in the show.

“People will be amazed by spectacular illusions and music and there is a lot of interaction with the audience.

“It’s suitable for the whole family and so everyone can enjoy it.”

The Magic Unlimited signature act, the flying box illusion has seen them invited all over the world.

“It’s a simple carton box and Mara pops out,” said Mr Kazàn.

“The power of our show is the variety of acts we do because it’s not a typical magician’s show that after 10 minutes you think, not another box. We try to keep the show entertaining.”

Two shows will take place each day, at 6pm and 9pm.

All performances will be in English and suitable for ages four and above.
