SIX of the Arab world’s top singers will perform over two days at free concerts lined up in Bahrain next week.
Dounia Batma, from Morocco, will perform alongside the UAE’s Oraib Hamdan and Kuwait’s Khalid Busakhr at the first event next Thursday.
The following night will see Bahraini sensations Hala Al Turk, Hamad Buqais and Mohammed Qambar take to the stage on March 3.
Both events will take place at Seef Mall from 7pm to 11pm.
The Celebrate My Country concerts are being organised by Al Turk Productions and White Box events in co-ordination with Seef Properties.
They are being put together to mark Kuwait’s National Day and the 16th anniversary of Bahrain’s National Action Charter.
Dounia Batma, who lives in Bahrain, was runner-up in the first season of Arab Idol and is now an acclaimed singer with several albums to her name, as well as hit singles including Mizyan Waer (Too Handsome).
Hala Al Turk shot to fame as the youngest participant in Arabs Got Talent and has performed a number of duets with top singers, as well as acted in several dramas and plays.
“We hope that our event would attract huge tourists during the weekend from across the GCC,” said Al Turk Productions general manager Mohammed Al Turk.
“Modern visual and audio technologies are set to be used besides pyrotechnics at the concerts, which are state-of-the-art in the showbiz industry.”
