Passengers on an Alaskan commuter flight had a shocking experience as a five-foot snake made a surprise appearance causing some commotion.
The reptile had hitched a ride on Ravn Alaska flight 7133 that was headed from Aniak in southwest Alaska to Anchorage on Sunday, according to KTVA TV station.
Passenger Anna McConnaughy took photos of the pale snake that was discovered curled up under a carry-on bag, the station said.
A flight attendant was seen in the photos placing the reptile in a plastic bag.
McConnaughy, told the station that the pilot informed travellers that the snake was on the loose about 15 minutes after takeoff.
Ravn Alaska spokesperson William Walsh told KTVA that a passenger violated policy in bringing the snake onto the plane.
Walsh did not confirm if the passenger would face any charges related to the incident. The flight landed as scheduled in Anchorage.
