Eleven Bahrainis are among 5,139 people being detained in Saudi prisons in connection with terrorism.
Statistics released by the Saudi Interior Ministry reveal it is holding terrorism-related inmates from 32 different countries.
It said it had arrested 65 terror suspects since the start of this month: 37 Saudis, 16 Turkish, four Yemenis and one each from Syria, Niger, Egypt, Bangladesh, India and Nepal. One suspect is yet to bet identified.
Most inmates arrested in terrorism cases are Saudis, who account for 4,298 prisoners, while the list also includes 272 Yemenis; 220 Syrians; 76 Pakistanis; 53 Egyptians; 29 Sudanese; 19 Indians; 19 Turkish; 17 Chadians; 16 Jordanians; eight Afghans; 11 Iranians; 11 Somalis; four Iraqis; four Bangladeshis; four Nigerians; and three each from Ethiopia, the Philippines, Lebanon and the US.
There are two inmates from each of Qatar, Mauritania, the UAE and Morocco; and one each from Algeria, China, Kuwait, Burkina Faso and Nepal.
