THE Brave Fighting Championship returns to Asia, specifically to the Middle East, with the fourth edition to be held at IPIC Arena in Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi, on Friday.
The South American continent hosted the third edition of the championship on March 18 in Curitiba, Brazil.
It was the first time an event was being organised outside Bahrain since the launch of Brave under the directives of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, first deputy president of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, honourary president of Bahrain Martial Arts Federation and founder of Khalid Bin Hamad Mixed Martial Arts (KHK MMA).
The Abu Dhabi championship will see participation from the strongest and fiercest fighters around the world, including Mexican Masio Fullen and Algerian Elias Boudegzdame, who will face off in the main match.
Other participants include Jordanian Abdulkareem Al Selwadyi, Jarrah Al Selawi, Lebanese Mohammad Fakhreddine, Moroccan Ottman Azaita and Brazilian Marcos Cruz.
The event kicks of today with the arrival of the fighters, followed by registration, medical examination, live broadcast of the weight check and media interactions.
The fourth edition of the championship is expected to attract a large number of Mixed Martial Arts enthusiasts from the GCC region as well as other Arab countries, especially with the prominent Arab presence in this global sports gathering.
