BUDAIYA School were crowned champions of primary boys football tournament in the Fourth Mini Olympics.
Budaiya beat Al Hekma International 4-0 to win the gold medal.
Kanoo International won the title in the intermediate boys competition with a narrow 1-0 victory over Creativity School.
In the girls section, Kanoo topped the intermediate stage, followed by Al Hekma International and Hawar in second and third places respectively.
In the cricket tournament, Combined School ‘A’ won the boys intermediate championship while Indian School finished second and Ibn Al Haitham Islamic third.
In the girls intermediate division, Indian School won the title while St Christopher’s and Combined School ‘A’ finished second and third respectively.
The aquathlon competition for boys and girls consisted of a 300m swim followed by a 2,000m run for intermediate students while the secondary stage event featured 400m swim and 3,000m run.
Liam Marshall of British School topped the boys intermediate race while the girls intermediate event was won by Bella Rusnton of St Christopher’s School.
St Christopher’s George Atman and Kizzy Price won the boys and girls secondary stage challenge respectively.
The jiu jitsu events for boys and girls featured 13 weight categories, ranging from under-19kg and reaching up to under-81kg, and included two girls weight sections.
Action in the Mini Olympics continues today with karting finals being organised in cooperation with Bahrain Motor Federation at Bahrain International Karting Circuit, starting at 10.30am.
