Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and King Abdullah II of Jordan attended the signing of various agreements, memoranda of understanding, executive programmes and contracts between the two countries.
According to SPA, the two sides inked a string of agreements covering various areas of co-operation, including the protection and preservation of the environment, culture, postal services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, health, housing, investments, in addition to a research and development contract relating to the uranium mining project, in the central Jordan region.
The two countries sealed another draft memorandum of understanding to study the economic feasibility of building two reactors, with small integrated units in Jordan for the production of electricity and water desalination.
A draft memorandum of understanding and news co-operation between the Saudi Press Agency and the Jordanian News Agency, was co-signed, by their respective chiefs.
Earlier, the Saudi leader was received on arrival at the airport by the Jordanian monarch, according to Al Riyadh newspaper.
Before his departure, the Saudi monarch issued a royal decree deputising Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to administer affairs of the state and take care of the people's interests during his absence.
