FIGHTERS participating in Brave 4 arrived in Abu Dhabi yesterday and they include Elias Boudegzdame, Masio Fullen, Mohammad Fakhreddine, Marcus Vinicius Cruz, Alexandre Rodrigues, Abdulkareem Al Selwady, Jarrah Al Selawi, Daniele Scatizzi, Ottman Azaitar, Charlie Leary, Alan Omer, Robbie Peralta, Jalal Al Daaja, Frans Mlambo, Atif Hawk, Jomar-Pa-ac, Kevin Koldobsky, Ahmed Amir, Marco Knoebel and Ben Forsyth.
The fighters will take part in the official weigh-in today and tomorrow following which their final weight categories will be determined.
The fights will be held at IPIC Arena in Zayed Sports City on Friday.
The hall accommodates 6,000 viewers and features business and VIP lounges, three conference halls, state of the art media room, an outdoor broadcasting complex and car parks.
The organising committee held a photo session for the fighters at their residence at One To One Hotel - The Village. The committee then invited fans of mixed martial arts to take photos with the fighters and their autographs.
Brave 4 will coincide with the events of the second edition of Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak’s “Mother of The Nation” Festival which will continue until April 4 and has more than 100 activities and events.
Meanwhile, Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, first deputy president of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, honourary president of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation and founder of Khalid Bin Hamad Mixed Martial Arts Organisation (KHK MMA), said the support of HRH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the sport led for its increasing popularity and thanked the UAE federation for supporting Brave 4.
