Sharjah Police entered the Guinness World Records for the largest driving licence, according to WAM.
Sharjah Police Commander-In-Chief Brigadier Saif Zari Al Shamsi patronised the unveiling ceremony at the Vehicles and Drivers Licencing Department.
Huda Khashab, project manager at Guinness World Records, made the announcement and handed the Guinness certificate to Brig Al Shamsi.
The police chief said: "Sharjah Police succeeded in its bid to enter the Guinness World Records for largest driving licence, based on a proposal submitted by an individual. A technical police team was then set up and assigned the task of turning an idea into a tangible reality in 'record time'.
Al Shamsi added: "This achievement has been presented to UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lieutenant-General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his efforts to improve the security work."
