A Kuwait Airways Airbus 330 aircraft made an emergency landing at Kuwait International Airport due a technical fault, announced the Directorate General of Civil Aviation - State of Kuwait (DGCA).
According to Al Rai newspaper, the pilot of the flight, which was heading from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh to Kuwait City, contacted the control tower at midnight and reported a problem with the tyres, said DGCA official spokesman Mansour Al Hashemi.
In a statement on Thursday, he said that the plane managed to land safely at 12.41am and was later towed away to a hangar at the airport for repairs.
