Six peoples suspected of having links with a Kuwaiti IS suspect held in the Philippines were arrested.
The police raided several locations in the Al-Jahra’a area of Saad Al-Abdulla district and caught the suspects.
Philippine security forces had earlier arrested Kuwaiti Husayn al-Dhafiri and his five-months-pregnant Syrian wife Rahaf Zina on suspicion of belonging to the ISIS.
The Kuwaiti police launched a series of raids after Manila authorities announced that they had foiled a terrorist attack in the Philippines.
The explosives experts seized dangerous materials and electronic devices from the houses of al-Dhafiri’s brother and nephew.
A Kuwait security delegation was dispatched to Manila, and met al-Dhafiri who is still under investigation.
The delegation is coordinating with the Philippine authorities to extradite him to Kuwait to be charged.
