Kuwaiti families concerned over children’s 'sympathy' for terrorist groups

GDN Online Desk

A number of Kuwaiti families reportedly informed the Ministry of Endowments about their children who show 'sympathy' for the terrorist Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

Informed sources said that families are concerned about their sons and daughters as well after noticing 'disturbing changes in their behaviour'.

According to Al Qabas newspaper, the ministry is dealing with this sensitive issue, sparing no effort to advise the boys and girls and steer them away from the wrong path.

The same sources said that these youngsters expressed their sympathy with terror groups through social media websites.

The ministry is seeking the assistance of specialists to spread moderation at schools, universities and mosques in co-ordination with the ministries of interior, education and social affairs.
