The United Arab Emirates has launched a national strategy to empower people with disabilities, according to WAM.
UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum gave the go-ahead to the blueprint during his visit to the Ministry of Community Development.
The National Policy for Empowering People with Disabilities revolves around six pillars including health and rehabilitation, education, vocational rehabilitation and employment, mobility, social protection and family empowerment, public life and sports.
