BRAVE Combat Federation (BCF) landed in Mumbai, India, yesterday for the fifth edition of Khalid bin Hamad Mixed Martial Arts Organisation (KHK MMA) event to be held on Sunday in cooperation with Indian Martial Arts Federation at Dome National Sports Club.
India is the third international stop for BCF since its international launch under the directives of Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, first deputy president of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, honourary president of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF) and founder of KHK MMA.
Hosting these international events has strengthened Bahrain’s standing overseas, especially in mixed martial arts, according to the organisers.
The championship’s first international venue was Curitiba, Brazil (third overall). Abu Dhabi hosted the second international event (fourth overall) and the first main competition for the championship belt.
Strongest
It was won by Algerian fighter Elias Boudegzdame, who beat Mexican MasioFullen.
Participating in the Mumbai championship are 20 of the world’s strongest and fiercest fighters.
And they are: Tahar Hadbi, Carl Booth, Mangat, Abdul Muneer, Jakub Kowalewicz, Alex Da Silva, Brian Hooi, Erik Carlos, Alejandro Martinez, Paulo Silva, Rolando Gabriel and representating KHK MMA Professional Team are Hamza Al Kooheji, Chaitanya Gavali, Nelson Paes, Aziz Julaidan, Mohammad Farhad, Ahmed Fares, Bharat Khadarf, Arnan Chaiysan and Hardeep Rai.
Fighters started arriving yesterday accompanied by technical and administrative staff. They completed all the procedures for the fighters to complete the registration process. The fighters also met the media.
The main fight will be between Carl Booth of England and Algeria’s Tahar Hadbi and the second main bout will feature Canadian Mangat and Indian Abdul Muneer.
