Saudi university and school students will enjoy an unprecedented four-month-long summer vacation, according to akhbar24.
Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ordered the end-of-second-semester exams (final exams) to be held before the advent of Ramadan in late May.
Under the Royal order, universities and schools will close for a record 120 days, making it the longest academic and school vacation in the history of education in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi authorities have yet to announce the date on which universities and schools will reopen.
